Solliden Castle
Solliden Palace is the Royal Family's summer palace on Öland. In addition to the unique castle park, visitors will also encounter high quality art in an outdoor environment.
In Solliden Palace Park you will find two open air exhibitions this year. In the English Park we are showing unique glass art from five of Orrefors Kosta Boda's designers. They are Bertil Vallien, Johan Röing, Ellen Ehk Åkesson, Åsa Jungnelius and Markus Åkesson. In our stone section we also show
an exhibition of paintings by Markus Åkesson. All under the open sky.
In Slottsparken you will also find a large number of works that are permanently on display at Solliden. There are many Italian sculptures that Queen Victoria brought back from her travels, but also works by Carl Milles, Hans Hedberg, J.N. Byström, Maria Miesenberger, Peter Frie and others.
