Painting combines old tradition with new. The technique and materials are the same as they have been for centuries; with self-prepared linen cloth and color pigments mixed with egg tempera. Kajsa draws inspiration for her motifs from the southern Swedish tradition of farmhouse painting, the world of the Bible and her own experiences.
Curiously, it is Kajsa's own hens that contribute their eggs to her painting.
